Jeremiah Quarles, founder of Q Development Partners, is a results-oriented leader with over 15 years of experience in economic development, strategic planning and project finance. He is a trusted advisor to C-Level Executives and global nonprofits, as well as, respected for his success in deal structure and negotiations of prominent real estate development projects and corporate relocations to the Dallas metro area.
Prior to founding Q Development Partners, Quarles led as Chief Executive Officer of the DeSoto Economic Development Corporation. During his tenure, the city of DeSoto experienced unprecedented growth with over $370 million in new private development and 1,850 new jobs which resulted in the increase of the city’s overall sales tax revenue by an average of 44%.
Additionally, Quarles helped to re-energize the Revolving Loan Fund Program (RLF) to assist small businesses and provide seed money at the initial start-up phase. The program’s overarching efforts were to drive local economic vibrancy and community growth along with job creation in DeSoto, TX. The goal was achieved within a year as one of the loan applicants has become a high profile success story with features in D Magazine and Texas Monthly as a top destination for elite BBQ.
In 2012, Quarles was tapped to lead economic development efforts as Executive Director for the City of Glenn Heights, TX. He developed, managed and implemented sustainable short and long-term strategies for redevelopment, retail recruitment, business retention and expansion.
Serving from 2006 to 2011 in the Office of Economic Development at the City of Dallas, Quarles managed downtown business retention, attraction and redevelopment efforts that resulted in over $225 million of new capital investment and created over 2,000 new jobs.
Quarles has served as Chairman of the Dallas Regional Chambers’ economic development arm – the DFW Marketing Allies Group. He is also an alumnus of the prestigious Leadership Dallas program. Other accolades include being recognized as a 2015 Top Rising Star in Economic Development by the International Council of Economic Development (IEDC), Dallas Business Journal’s Top Minority Business Leader and 40 Under Forty, Outstanding Dallasite by the Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Apex Society’s Power 30 Under 30.
Quarles is a graduate of the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and a 2018 EMBA candidate of the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. He is married to The Honorable Candice D. Quarles and they have a daughter, Avery Nicole.
