The Deerfield Beach-based company offers furniture warranties and makes mattress protectors.

Florida furniture warranty company GBS Enterprises is moving its corporate headquarters to North Texas with 100 employees and plans to change its name to ProtectAll.

GBS Enterprises and its ProtectAll subsidiary specialize in providing furniture warranties through retailers for items such as indoor furniture, outdoor furniture and area rugs. The company also makes mattress protection sheets.

The move to North Richland Hills is part of a sweeping set of changes coming to GBS.

CEO Jeff McWey has moved into an executive chairman role after nine years leading the company, and ProtectAll hired Dallas-area executive Kevin Rupkey as chief executive. ProtectAll is also closing its headquarters in Deerfield Beach, Fla., and moving about 100 positions to North Texas.

“ProtectAll is making significant investments in the company’s growth through personnel development, refreshed processes and new business lines,” McWey said in a statement.

The company is moving into the Health Markets building at 9151 Grapevine Highway in North Richland Hills.

ProtectAll started the move in mid-December and plans to have 100 workers here by March 1. Some finance jobs are moving from the company’s Reno, Nev., warehouse, and GBS is hiring call center employees here, too.
