Site Selection Magazine to Partner with YTexas to Showcase Continued Interest in the Lone Star State
The largest-ever statewide event showcasing industry and workforce development in Texas
Site Selection Magazine, a leading publication in corporate real estate, facility planning, location analysis and foreign direct investment, is joining the 2023 YTexas Summit on Friday, October 6 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Editor in Chief, Mark Arend, will be joining the event as a discussion moderator and executive guest. “We couldn’t think of a better partner for our showcase than the team at Conway and Site Selection Magazine,” said YTexas CEO Ed Curtis.
The two firms had been discussing a partnership for the better part of a year. The magazine had recently completed the publication of the 2023 Texas Economic Development Guide, titled Building the Texas of Tomorrow. Site Selection Magazine also awarded Texas its 11th consecutive Governors Cup Award – an annual award bestowed upon states for their success in luring investment projects into their state.
“My colleagues and I are honored to be a part of the 2023 YTexas Summit and to bring our perspective to the economic development story unfolding in Texas,” says Mark Arend, Editor in Chief of Site Selection. “States are successful to the extent their business climates are compatible with companies’ requirements, and Texas is a perennial example of this.”
The event will showcase the successful projects that brought Texas the coveted Governors Cup, and dive into the trends indicating the state isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
Mark Arend and Ron Starner will also co-host YTexas’ Rēlo Awards Gala, recognizing 50 companies that chose to relocated headquarters to the Lone Star State over the past 10 years. The event will highlight projects such as HPE’s headquarter move to Houston, NTT DATA’s move to the DFW Area and Firefly Aerospace’s choice for Austin back in 2012.
Both the Summit and Gala will focus on supply chain innovation, workforce development strategies, capital connections and relocation best practices. YTexas will utilize the field for industry collaboration in over 10 areas including advanced manufacturing, intelligent infrastructure, sports & entertainment and energy.
