Powering the Texas Miracle: A Signature Series Focused on the Future of Texas

Texas is growing at a pace few places in the country can match.

New residents, businesses, industries and investments continue to flow into the state, creating tremendous opportunity—but also raising important questions about what comes next.

Where will Texans live? How will our communities function? And how do we ensure that communities across the state have the opportunity to thrive?

Those questions will take center stage at the 2026 YTexas Summit, taking place December 1–3, 2026, at Texas A&M University in College Station, with programming at the Hall of Champions at Kyle Field and the RELLIS Campus.

One of this year’s signature features will be the Powering the Texas Miracle Signature Series, a three-part keynote series bringing together leaders from business, government, higher education, infrastructure, housing, finance, healthcare, agriculture and technology.

Rather than treating Texas’ biggest opportunities and challenges as separate issues, the series will connect them through one larger conversation about the future of the state:

  1. Where Texans will live.
  2. How communities will function.
  3. How Texas will thrive.

Where Texans Will Live: Attainable Housing & Community Development

Texas’ continued economic success depends on more than attracting companies and creating jobs. People also need attainable places to live and communities designed to support long-term growth.

The first signature keynote, Powering the Texas Miracle Through Attainable Housing & Community Development, will explore how Texas can meet that challenge.

Moderated by P. Allen Smith of TELOS Developments, the conversation will bring together leaders in master-planned community development, housing finance, infrastructure and other areas shaping the places Texans call home.

The discussion will examine how housing, finance, infrastructure and public-private partnerships can work together to expand opportunity while creating communities that are resilient, economically competitive and built for the future.

How Communities Will Function: Intelligent Community Infrastructure

Building communities is only part of the equation. The next generation of Texas communities must also have the infrastructure necessary to support rapid growth.

Powering the Texas Miracle Through Intelligent Community Infrastructure will look at what happens when energy, water, connectivity and emerging technology are approached as interconnected systems rather than individual pieces of infrastructure.

Leaders in distributed energy, communications, artificial intelligence, water, digital infrastructure, microgrids, community development and resilient systems will explore how these technologies can work together to create communities that are smarter, more reliable and better prepared for the future.

From AI and advanced connectivity to distributed generation and microgrids, the conversation will focus on practical solutions that can improve reliability, affordability, economic competitiveness and quality of life across Texas.

How Texas Will Thrive: Rural Prosperity & Community Transformation

The Texas Miracle cannot stop at the boundaries of the state’s largest metropolitan areas.

Texas’ rural communities are essential to the state’s economy, identity and future—and creating sustainable prosperity in those communities requires bringing multiple sectors to the same table.

The third signature keynote, Powering the Texas Miracle Through Rural Prosperity & Community Transformation, will explore how healthcare, agriculture, housing, education, workforce development, entrepreneurship, infrastructure and economic development can work together to strengthen rural Texas.

Moderated by Curtis Donaldson of the Office of the President at Texas A&M University, the session will bring together leaders from Texas A&M AgriLife, the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES), Texas A&M Health, Waller County and other organizations working to advance rural prosperity throughout the state.

The focus will extend beyond identifying challenges. The conversation will examine how collaboration, innovation and public-private partnerships can create healthier communities, stronger local economies and new opportunities for Texans.

Three Conversations. One Vision for Texas.

What makes the Powering the Texas Miracle Signature Series different is that these are not three unrelated conversations.

They are three pieces of the same story.

Where Texans will live: Creating attainable, resilient and economically competitive communities.

How those communities will function: Connecting energy, water, digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, microgrids and other critical systems to support the next generation of Texas growth.

How those communities will thrive: Building the healthcare, education, workforce, agricultural, entrepreneurial and economic ecosystems that allow communities—urban and rural—to prosper.

Together, these conversations reflect a larger idea at the heart of the 2026 YTexas Summit: Texas’ next chapter will be built through collaboration.

Developers cannot solve housing alone. Technology alone cannot create resilient communities. Economic development cannot succeed without infrastructure, workforce, education and healthcare.

The opportunity is in bringing those worlds together.

Powering the Next Chapter of the Texas Miracle

The Powering the Texas Miracle Signature Series will convene many of Texas’ leading developers, researchers, policymakers, healthcare leaders, agricultural experts, infrastructure providers, educators, entrepreneurs and innovators to move beyond identifying challenges and toward discussing practical, scalable solutions.

Because sustaining the Texas Miracle isn’t simply about managing growth.

It’s about intentionally building what comes next.

Join YTexas December 1–3, 2026, at Texas A&M University in College Station as leaders from across the state come together to help power the next chapter of Texas.
