Grunt Style LLC, an American military-themed clothing designer, is moving 45 employees from its Chicago office to its new corporate headquarters in San Antonio, Texas.
The move by Grunt Style is part of the company’s goal of eventually producing 100 percent of its products in the United States. In addition to moving its employees from Chicago, the company is moving its headquarters to fill an entire building in San Antonio.
The Chicago offices are based in the Western suburbs in Carol Stream, Illinois. Out of Carol Stream is the production facility, custom order center, walk-in order pickup, and distribution of online orders.
According to the San Antonio Business Journal, a company spokesperson said by the end of the year 85 people will be based at the San Antonio office, including several local hires.
Grunt Style was started in 2009 by Daniel Alarik, a former U.S. Army drill sergeant who sold patriotic t-shirts at flea markets and sporting events. The company projects sales to exceed $100 million this year, a company spokesperson said.
The clothing brand sells items that include graphic tees, polos, pants and accessories to both men and women. They also sell accessories and branded items like hats, stickers water bottles and tire covers. The logo features two guns crossing each other with the slogan “This We’ll Defend.”
