Galdisa USA, a subsidiary of Galdisa Mexico, will officially open its new Conroe Park North facility on Friday.
The 47,000-square-foot plant and sales office at 3455 Pollok Drive, Conroe, joins nine facilities in Mexico.
Founded in 1957, Galdisa produces and sells peanuts and peanut products for industrial, wholesale, and retail markets in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. It handles other products, such as pumpkin seeds, fava beans, chickpeas and hibiscus flower.
“Galdisa USA is an excellent addition to Conroe Park North and we are thrilled to see their plant officially open,” Conroe Economic Development Council executive director Danielle Scheiner said in an announcement.
“It has been a pleasure to get to know the Galdisa family and watch the construction of their state-of-the-art facility. Galdisa and the city of Conroe will both benefit from this partnership.”
The grand opening will be noon to 4 p.m. Friday.
