A Minneapolis-based farm and ranch products retailer, Mid-States Distributing Co., is moving its headquarters to Fort Worth
The 65-year-old company has purchased a building in North Fort Worth that will almost double its headquarters space. More than 100 of Mid-States Distributing’s employees will be housed in the two-story building in the Mercantile Center business park on Meacham Boulevard near Interstate 820.
“We’re thrilled to call Fort Worth our new home,” Jeff Rash, chief operating officer of Mid-States, said in a statement. “This move marks a milestone for the company.”
The company’s new 40,000-square-foot headquarters previously housed the offices of the American Paint Horse Association, which moved to the historic Fort Worth Stockyards.
“The building’s amenities, its Western design and collaborative work space are attractive features and align with our brand’s identity, and we’re happy to bring more opportunities to our suppliers and members,” Rash said.
Founded in 1954, Mid-States Distributing employs more than 30,000 people and has 700 stores in the U.S. and Canada. The company has annual sales of more than $6.5 billion.
The new Fort Worth campus has a loading dock for shipping and receiving, meeting spaces, an on-site cafeteria and an outdoor courtyard. The building was designed for a 20,000-square-foot addition.
Colt Power, Fort Worth partner of commercial property firm NAI Robert Lynn, negotiated the company’s office buy and worked on the relocation of the American Paint Horse Association.
Mid-States is the second company this week to announce a relocation to Fort Worth. Colorado sports merchandise company Team ProMark also just announced its move to North Fort Worth.
