APRIL 5, 2018 – AUSTIN -/YTEXAS/- Co-working and creative space The Refinery hosted a celebration of women in leadership as presented in collaboration by YTEXAS and Khorus Software.
Khorus Software, YTEXAS member and provider of enterprise software for driving strategy execution, recently announced that its board of directors had selected Carolyn Jenkins as chief executive officer. Jenkins takes over the CEO role from Khorus founder Joel Trammell, who last November was appointed as CEO of Black Box Network Services.
“The board and I are extremely pleased to have Carolyn take over day-to-day leadership of Khorus,” said Trammell. “Given her deep operational experience and track record in growing SaaS organizations, we’re confident she is the right person to lead Khorus forward and further empower our customers to run predictable, high-performing organizations.”
Jenkins’ being named to CEO at Khorus was the impetus to not only welcome her to Austin and to YTEXAS as an organization, but more specifically to her female CEO peers in Austin.

Other female CEOs in attendance included Kerry Rupp (True Wealth Ventures), Barbary Brunner (Austin Technology Council), Hayley Swindell (The Refinery), Leslie Wingo (Sanders/Wingo), Michele Skelding (Skyles Bayless), Ritu Arora Thakur (Smart Tech) and Jordyn May (Jordyn’s Dream Rocks).
YTEXAS CEO Ed Curtis stated, “We are seeing an increasing number of women-led companies relocating to Texas. Our ability to assist them will be elevated with ambassadors like Carolyn Jenkins. We look forward to adding more women to our statewide CEO network.”
