The Future of Retail & E-Commerce in Texas

In 2019, over $3 trillion dollars in global retail was transacted online. That number will grow exponentially over the next decade.  The future of retail will see complete integration of technologies like augmented reality and virtual reality, the internet of things, sensor-driven packaging and enhanced customer engagement.

Leading Texas based retailers will share how they are exploring a range of new platforms, systems, shipping capabilities and technologies to dramatically improve consumer experiences through in-store and online buying.

Austin hometown favorite Tiff’s Treats, founded in 1999 out of a University of Texas apartment, now has over 1,400 employees in 59 locations around the U.S. and has delivered more than 100 million fresh cookies to residents in Texas, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina.  As co-founder Leon Chen says, they were “on-demand” before that was a thing.”

Founders Tiffany Chen, Leon Chen and early-stage investor Andy Roddick will discuss their plans for nationwide growth for the retailer with continued investments in technology and world-class customer experience.  Tiff’s Treats has raised over $75 million to date with recent investments from Dallas Maverick’s star Dirk Nowitzki and fashion mogul Kendra Scott.
