Transplace, a Frisco, Texas-based transportation management services and logistics technology company, has announced that it has acquired M33 Integrated. As a result of this acquisition, Transplace will grow its influence and expertise in the transportation management sector, as well as expand its geographical reach. The acquisition will also support Transplace’s goals and commitment to strategic growth, allowing it to be meet the needs of its customers. M33 Integrated is a third party logistics (3PL) provider with a focus on the packaging, chemical and advanced materials sectors. Within the plans of this business acquisition, M33 Integrated’s operational and technology facilities in Greensboro, NC, and Greenville, SC will be turned into the Transplace Southeastern Center of Excellence.

“M33 Integrated brings a strong management team, robust technology solutions, and an excellent customer base, particularly within the growing flexible packaging industry, that are complementary to Transplace’s capabilities,” said Transplace CEO, Tom Sanderson in a press release. “The addition of M33 Integrated complements Transplace’s current geographical footprint and deepens our middle market penetration, as well as expands on the company’s vision to deliver outstanding value to all North American shippers.”

Tom Sanderson has been the CEO of Transplace since 2003, having been in the trucking industry for many years. He is also currently the author of the Transplace Blog, writing about economic and legislative changes related to transportation.
