A subsidiary of Sulzer Ltd., a Switzerland-based manufacturing and engineering company, is relocating its U.S. headquarters to the Energy Corridor from Sugar Land.
Sulzer US Holding Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Sulzer, has inked a lease for 28,000 square feet at 1255 Enclave Parkway in the Energy Corridor, Kelli Edell, president of Sulzer US Holding, told the Houston Business Journal. Sulzer USA is currently headquartered at 2277 Plaza Drive in Sugar Land. Employees from the Sugar Land office will move into the Energy Corridor space in October, Edell said. In addition, employees from a Sulzer office in Brookshire, Texas, at 800 Koomey Road will also move into the Energy Corridor space.
Sulzer’s new space is on the third floor of the building, according to a building permit and a Cushman & Wakefield spokesperson. Cushman & Wakefield represented Sulzer in the lease. The brokerage declined to comment further.
A building permit listed Houston’s Arch-Con Construction Corp. as the contractor for the interior buildout. The permit listed the cost of construction as $1.5 million. John Luck of Houston-based Jackson Cooksey handles leasing for 1255 Enclave Parkway. Luck declined to comment. Arch-Con couldn’t be reached for comment.
