A Japanese injection molding machines manufacturer plans to build a plant at Brooks City Base in South San Antonio.

Nissei Plastic Industrial Co. Ltd. recently bought 9 acres from the Brooks Development Authority, the organization that manages the redevelopment of the former Air Force Base, the San Antonio Express-News reported, citing county property records.

The land is reported as being along Lyster Road, and Brooks City Base CEO and President Leo Gomez was reported as confirming that a facility is planned there.
