Cowboys, Baylor Scott & White to build sports therapy campus

The Dallas Cowboys and Baylor Scott & White Health have teamed up on a new sports therapy and research center at The Star in Frisco, which will bring another component to the Dallas Cowboys-anchored mixed-use development.

The Star in Frisco is anchored by the Cowboys’ new practice facility and headquarters at the northwest corner of Warren Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway, The practice facility will be used by the Frisco ISD and will give young athletes in Frisco yet another all-star facility to practice and play games in.

“The goal of Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy & Research at The Star is to make North Texas the safest place in the country to play sports,” said Baylor Scott & White CEO Joel Allison, who addressed media at a news conference held Wednesday afternoon at the site.

The new facility will focus on injury prevention, research and wellness for athletes from youth players to professionals. Construction was kicked off with Wednesday’s event and is slated for completion in 2018.
